DESOLATED MODERN INVENTIONS

 

In this section you can find products with better properties than today's products properties.These products have been made in the last 50 years ,they have been used for some time and then were desolated : for financial or other reasons the production of these products was discontinued ,the existing copies were withdrawn from use and scrapped.

 

 

ANCHAR , SOVIET SUBMARINE


Soviet submarine K-162 was the world's fastest submarine (max speed 44.7 knots ,82.8 km/h ,51.4 mph). The first submarine constructed with a titanium hull, she was the only vessel of the Soviet Union's Project 661 Anchar nuclear-powered attack submarine design. This submarine made in a single copy .Launched -21 December 1968 .Decommissioned- deleted from Navy list in 1989, Russian Navy flag was lowered 1999.Today similar products with the same or better properties does not exist.

 

 

 

APOLLO , US SPACECRAFT


Apollo spacecraft was composed of three parts designed to accomplish the American Apollo program's goal of landing astronauts on the Moon by the end of the 1960s and returning them safely to Earth.Apollo spacecraft was used from 1967 to 1975.Today similar products with the same or better properties does not exist.

 

 


BLACKBIRD SR-71 , US AIRCRAFT


Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird" is a long-range strategic reconnaissance aircraft that was operated by the US Air Force .SR-71 "Blackbird" was the world's fastest aircraft with ramjet (max speed 3, 529 km/h ). SR-71 "Blackbird" was used from 1964 to 1998.Today similar products with the same or better properties does not exist.

 

 


CONCORDE , BRITISH-FRENCH SUPERSONIC PASSENGER JET AIRLINER


Concorde is a British-French turbojet-powered supersonic passenger jet airliner . It had a maximum speed over twice the speed of sound at Mach 2.04 (1,354 mph or 2,180 km/h at cruise altitude), with seating for 92 to 128 passengers.It is one of only two supersonic transports to have been operated commercially; the other is the Soviet-built Tupolev Tu-144. Concorde was used from 1976 to 2003.Today similar products with the same or better properties does not exist.

 

 


TUPOLEV TU-144 , SOVIET SUPERSONIC PASSENGER JET AIRLINER


Tupolev Tu-144 is a Soviet turbojet-powered supersonic passenger jet airliner . It is one of only two supersonic transports to enter commercial service, the other being the Anglo-French Concorde. Tu-144 flew at an average service altitude of 16,000 metres (52,000 ft) and cruised at a speed of around 2,000 kilometres per hour (1,200 mph) with seating 140 passengers.Tu-144 was used from 1977 to 1983.Today similar products with the same or better properties does not exist.

The Space Shuttle was a partially reusable low Earth orbital spacecraft system operated by the US NASA .Spase Shuttle fleet was used from 1981 to 2011.Today similar products with the same or better properties does not exist.

 

 


BURAN , SOVIET SPACECRAFT


The Buran was a Soviet reusable spacecraft . Buran was completed one unmanned spaceflight in 1988 and was the only Soviet reusable spacecraft to be launched into space. Today similar products with the same or better properties does not exist.
